Capturing Moments

The hot tub is a gathering place where we spend quality time with family, friends, individuals or couples. Find peace of mind. Relax, re-juvenate, and re-connect. Embrace the mind, body and soul in different healing ways. Every interaction reflects a significant moment and we embraced the concept of “Capturing Moments” to tell the new Caldera story.

Lifestyle Compositing

We set out to craft three distinctly unique images hitting on the main segments of Caldera's target audience. The direction was “Family Time," “Happy Couple," and “Self Reflecting Individual.” Magnetic set the style, tone and overall art direction of the shoot to capture the moments for each of the personas described as their target audiences. We brought in photographer Dean Bradshaw, whose unique style of images would set Caldera apart from their competition. The final images were composited from multiple images as well as 3D renderings. The Website Experience

We designed and developed a website that revitalized the category online and set a new industry standard for Hot Tubs. Starting with a full revamp of the user experience, we designed a responsive structure for the site that paralleled the soothing and peaceful nature of being in a hot tub. The new shopping experience leads users through an informative process, simplifies finding their ideal hot tub and ultimately drives customers into dealers. The digital branding campaign embraced the consumer's state of mind, spoke emotionally to each persona by capturing those “moments” through the visual vignettes. On the technology side, the site is built on a custom tailored CMS developed in Python/Django, and deployed onto the Heroku cloud hosting platform.

Driving Users to Find Caldera Retailers Online

In the new digital landscape it's imperative to have a thoughtful approach to the mobile/tablet experience. For the tablet we built a responsive version of the site that gives a seamless experience to that of the desktop along with plans to modify for in-store usage to give details about different hot tub models. Our digital brand strategy for the mobile experience was more focused on driving sales into the retailers. We developed a web-based app that GPS-locates customers and provides them the nearest retailer. Engaging consumers to visit the stores and see the products in person and driving sales leads to retail partners helping to increase sales overall.

A Platform for Conversion

Caldera Spas wanted to be known for generating content and become a destination beyond the spa with relaxation tips, recipes, and heath and fitness support. Creating an online relationship with Caldera consumers and health enthusiasts so Caldera was top of mind for wellness of mind, body & soul. 20 minutes of renewal was established as the online blog and source for content and was supported through facebook and twitter engagement.

Global Website Development

After completion of the North American site, we began executing the plan for the international markets for Caldera to support their sales globally. Working with global marketing teams, we built a global rollout website solution which launched first in France and is set to be rolled out across 10-15 countries.

Connecting Sales with the New Website

After completion of the site, we developed a four minute video for the sales regions showing off the upgrades to the site and educating sales reps how to grow business through the new digital platform. Plans to create consumer video testimonials and how to videos throughout the year to continue to support the brand online.
